Fast tracked for being a Moslem

It seems Ali Dizaei might have dealt from the bottom of his pack of race cards for the last time.

Over on The Gruniad there is an EXCELLENT article laying out the case against Britain's Number One Player Of The Race Card  In A Police Uniform. It goes back to a summer night in 2008 when the man took his wife to a Persian restaurant run by a friend of his.  After the meal he sat in his car talking to the restaurant owner (something that an ordinary mortal would doubtless be ticketed for) when a man who claims Dizaei owes him £600 for a website approached.

What happened then was for the jury to decide. Did the website designer threaten Dizaei and his wife and stab Dizaei with the end of a shisha pipe during a scuffle, or did Dizaei engage in "wholesale abuse" of his powers by bullying, threatening and intimidating a man in the culmination of a personal vendetta and then inflict harm upon himself to falsely accuse the website designer of a violent attack ?

Well. according the The Telegraph the jury has found the website designer to be the victim and found Dizaei guilty of bringing the force whose uniform he wore into disrepute.

Sentence will be passed at 3pm apparently.

Scotland Yard police chief Ali Dizaei jailed

Commander Ali Dizaei, 47, was sentenced to four years by Mr Justice Simon at London's Southwark Crown Court.
